Quality Philosophy is Key in Computing Services at the University of Idaho
The management philosophy in Computing Services is based on a quality orientation, team training, and results-oriented job descriptions.
Every six months, individuals in Computing Services create job descriptions based on expected outcomes, including allocating percents of their time to each of those outcomes. The latter are based on objectives and tasks identified as part of their unit’s annual “action plans.” This approach truly empowers the individual to be responsible for attaining the objectives, and allows the needed flexibility to undertake new activities as needed, even at the management level.
