Job Evaluation

Job Evaluation is a measurement of job worth based on the knowledge, skills and abilities required of a job. A comparative analysis of a group of jobs produces a ranking of job worth, and is a necessary step to achieve internal pay equity.

Our point-factor comparison Results-Oriented Job Evaluation plan establishes a more objective, fairer and more defensible analysis by employing concrete anchors instead of vague variations (difficult; very difficult; very, very difficult), incorporating real-value distance between degrees instead of default value based on the accidental number of degrees in each factor, and correcting mathematical calculation errors for degree points found in almost all plans.

Our plan consists of six factors for measuring job worth (involving from 12 to 18 degrees depending on the factor), plus an MS Excel spreadsheet for weighting the factors according to your situation, recording degree decisions for each job, and calculating total points for each job, and generating a ranking of jobs.
